Project Pipeline
Anglia
The Anglia field lies approximately 60 km from the UK coastline and approximately 11 km southwest of the Clipper field
The field was discovered in 1972 by well 48/18b-1 when dry gas was encountered in the Rotliegendes Formation.
The Anglia field is tied back (subsea) via 24km pipeline to the LOGGS transportation facility and pipeline, operated by ConocoPhillips.
Production commenced in December 1991 through a normally unmanned installation (NUI) and in 1993 a subsea template was installed to produce from a further 2 wells in the western area of the field. Cumulative production from the Anglia field at the end of 2009 was 194 bcf of dry gas with an estimated recovery factor of 60% to date.
A number of in-field upside opportunities have been identified in the Anglia Field. In 2006 well 48/18b-B3Z encountered gas at virgin reservoir pressure in a NW compartment of the main field. The well gave poor flow rates on test due to formation damage and was subsequently plugged and abandoned.
Additional reserves potentially lie in an undrilled 'pop-up' structure to the southeast of the main field.
